Our Philisophy
Making Learning Stick
Our learning philosophy is built upon six simple principles:
Total Learner Involvement
People learn best when they are totally and actively involved in their learning. Learning is not something that is passively absorbed, but something that is actively created.
Learning in Context
The best learning comes from working with real issues and scenarios and practising in the ‘real world’. Facts and skills learned in isolation are difficult to take in and retain. We believe in creating lots of opportunities to help make learning stick. This gives people the confidence to apply their new skills in the workplace.
Variety
People learn best when they have a rich variety of learning options that allows them to use all of their senses and to exercise their preferred learning style.
Learning with Others
Great learning happens in a collaborative and social environment. People working together as a group are more effective at developing knowledge and skill than individuals working alone.
Positive Environment
It is easiest to learn in an environment that is both relaxed and stimulating. A sense of interest and enjoyment must be created to optimise capacity to learn.
So What…?
Learning has to have a purpose. A key aspect of all of our programmes is helping people to discover how they can apply their learning to workplace situations in order to be part of the solution to any business problem. Enabling your people to be solution orientated thinkers will help to give your business the edge.
Very good in covering quite a few psychological concepts in enough detail to get to grips with everything.
